In Rochester, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across New York do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.

Hours are published for 3 days a week. Typical hours are 9 amโ€“5 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Rochester is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Rochester is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Forno Tony is gourmet Roman-style pizza done with care and craft! The crust is light, airy and made with fresh high quality ingredients. Iโ€™ve been to Forno Tonyโ€™s 6 times in 3 weeks and it always delivers with classic like their Calabrian chili slice or the stracciatella but the Pancetta Parmesan with lemon zest is unbelievable!!

Best pizza, gelato, and tiramisu in town. Good baked goods, too! The monthly gelato flavors are sooo good. Super friendly staff who are happy to tell you what all the options are. I usually take out but there is some limited seating available. I'd recommend going in the morning or before lunch because the lunch crowd is big and they sometimes sell out (that's how you know it's good!)

INCREDIBLE! Everything at Forno Tonyโ€™s is amazing. Let me start with the pizza - thin yet fluffy crust, high quality ingredients, and fun toppings bursting with fresh and bright flavors! The pastries are equally excellent - everything Iโ€™ve tried has been 10/10 delicious! Try an espresso macchiato with your dessert to take it over the top. And the gelato!!! So many yummy flavors. Every visit feels like a quick trip to Italy!!! ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น The service is exceptional as well - staff is friendly, welcoming, and generous. I am so thankful for this amazing family business bringing the delicious flavors of Italy to little Rochester! Please never go away, Forno Tony!

We got there on a Saturday of February at 11:20 a.m. The pastries were stocked and there were many flavors of pizza available. There were customers already eating and luckily we were the first ones in line but I heard that if you go there during a different time you might need to wait in line. The pizza is really good, focaccia bread with ingredients on top. It is not the typical American definition of pizza where everything has tomato sauce. We really like the pesto pizza, and another one that had Roma tomatoes with pieces of garlic. For dessert we got tiramisu and canoncini, both excellent. They also had Italian flavored gelato like biscoff, which unfortunately we did not try, but next time we will. There are some few spots to eat inside but it's better to order to go.

We came here after lots of people talking about this place. Iโ€™ve never had Roman pizza so here we go. For anyone who hasnโ€™t been here is the quick run down as it can be slightly confusing. Walk in and you see a gelato counter to the right with a cash register and straight is the pizza counter. You order the pizza and they will warm it up and either give it to you or will bring it to the very limited eating counters near the front with a ticket saying how much it was. Then you goto the gelato counter and pay. They have a huge selection of pizza choices along with some sandwiches in the case. You select what you want they cut them with scissors and weigh it. Yup weigh it. The price for the pizza is a mystery unless you only buy one slice. The ticket they bring will be with just the total for what you order. We ordered 3 slices - one Roman, one focaccia, and one double layer slice. The total was 21 dollars and change. Thatโ€™s all it said in the white ticket so I canโ€™t break it down further. The pizza was very good. The Roman is very crispy and thin exactly how I like it. First I had the mushroom, onion, and balsamic slice and then I went back to get a plain cheese because
